This report talks about Ibrahim Abdullah’s presentation. His presentation was about polar bears. It took place in room W007 on Monday, April 18th, 2011 at 2:50 pm. In the next paragraph, I will talk about his personality during the presentation, how he did in the presentation and how he organized it.
He started the presentation by introducing himself and the topic that he will talk about. The topics that he talked about were physical characteristics of the polar bears, where do they live, their favorite food and the main factors that lead to their extinction. He was very good in presenting these topics and the topics were very interesting. When Ibrahim was presenting, he was standing at the side of the screen. Also, he made good eye contact with the audience and he had a self-confident manner. Moreover, his voice was clear and loud and his English was good and simple. On the other hand, the PowerPoint slide background was good and also the text size. Also, there were many nice pictures of polar bears. Finally, the PowerPoint was good except the animations and transitions because he did not use them.
The presentation was good because of his personality and the way that he presented. Also, he has self-confidence which makes him relaxed and unstressed.

My Reflection on the Meeting

First of all, Ali called the meeting as chairman. The meeting was about aggressive and reckless drivers. As I’m secretary, I wrote what went on in the meeting and Mohsen was a participant. The meeting was good because the subject was very interesting and we discussed one of the problems from these days. Every one gave his idea on this problem which consists of reasons, effects and solutions. It went very well because we agreed with most of the ideas. The idea of the meeting was very helpful because it helped me to improve my speaking skill and it encouraged me to express my opinion.

Aggressive & Reckless Drivers

Minutes
Date: 3 / 7 / 2011
Venue: Room W007
Group Members:

      Chairman: Ali Saif Albadwawi
      Secretary: Omar Abdul Aziz Aljabri
      Participant: Mohsen Salem Shamlan
Agenda:
1.      We discuss our topic which is about aggressive & reckless drivers
2.      First thing we talk about the reasons
3.      Second we discuss the effects of this problem.
4.      Then we discuss about solutions for this problem

The chairman Ali called the meeting to order at 16:30 with group members Omar and Mohsen.
1.      Omar said one of the reasons is the personal problems that drivers face every day and it affects their mood. Mohsen said young drivers like to challenge and make the road as a racing circuit. Ali said that reckless driving is like an infection; when a driver drives recklessly and tailgates another driver, the second driver will be angry and will drive aggressively. We agreed that one of the main reasons is going late to college or work, so they drive very fast. The fourth reason is the crowded roads and the traffic which makes drivers angry.
2.      Omar said the first and main effect is an increase in car accidents and deaths. Ali said it makes drivers worry and gain anxiety. Mohsen said this problem gives a bad image about the city.
3.      Omar said the media should increase the awareness of this problem. Also in the driving school, they should make classes just to teach drivers how to respect others and the dangers of reckless driving. Ali suggested that the reckless driver must attend classes about driving safely; if they don’t attend the classes the police should suspend their license for a period of time; Omar disagree with this solution. He said it was unfair to lose your license for just one offence.
4.      At the end of this meeting, we agreed that the main reason of this problem is the family matters and personal issues which make the person to become an aggressive driver. Also, we agreed that car accidents and deaths increased as an effect of this problem. We think the main solution is to raise the awareness of the drivers by advertisements and giving classes about safe driving in the driving schools.
